SCHOLARSHIP POLICY AND PROCEDURES

C.B. Bhandari Jain College Management and Selection committee holds and administers funds that provide scholarship and grants to graduate and post graduate students. These scholarships enable the recipients to complete graduate or post graduate education in the field of their choice .

The Scholarship policy and procedure document provides the details of how CBBJC manages the selection of meritorious and deserving students for scholarships and awards.  CBBJC encourages the scholarly aptitude and has evolved a scholarship policy giving the rules and guidelines for the bestowal process for scholarships.

CBBJC bestows scholarship based on merit and the reservation policy of the government as applicable to all the enrolled students.  The scholarship will enable the tuition fee waiver and/or adjustment to the deserving student per year and the renewal of scholarship will be considered according to the rules and regulations.  Other financial support is also granted depending on the funds available from other sponsors as applicable and after approval by the selection committee and the Principal.

Scholarship Committee and Selection Procedure

All scholarship applications received shall be scrutinized based on defined criteria by the scholarship selection committee. The scholarship selection committee includes Members of the Management, Principal, Vice-Principals and HoDs.  The scholarship committee also has additional responsibility to explore available funds from NGOs, other agencies, donors, philanthropists, foundations and other non-government bodies.

The committee thoroughly scrutinizes and shortlists  the applications under various categories.  The candidates who are found ineligible are not considered for the scholarships and the final decision rests with the committee.  All final selection will be done by the Selection Committee.  The Principal has responsibility and accountability for the processes undertaken during selection.
