BUSINESS LAB

The business lab of C.B.Bhandari jain college is platform for the management students to enhance and upgrade their managerial skills. Management Lab focuses on practical application of knowledge gained through theory. It helps students to keep abreast of all the latest developments in the field of business. The primary purpose of the lab is to offer an active learning environment .

Business Lab Activities

All the BBA semesters students assemble in the business lab for weekly management activities. The weekly activities may be any of the following

  • Conduct of management games which enhance the managerial skills like leadership skills, communication skills, team management, group cohesiveness etc

  • Exposure to various forms like forms required for various banking transactions, IT returns forms etc

  • Discussion on various case studies

  • Digital display of latest informations such as currency exchange rates, bullion rates, wholesale price index, bank deposit & loan rates of interest, stock exchange rates and any other current relevant information

  • Preparation of Charts, Models, relating to various business concepts

  • Group discussions on current issues

  • Conduct of Business quiz competitions

  • Sharing and discussion on various business ideas by the students who desire to became entrepreneurs

  • Providing valuable tips / information on career prospects (jobs & higher studies)

  • Showing online stock exchange activities

  • Reading of latest business magazines and discussion among the students and faculty

COMMERCE LAB

The college has a Commerce lab to cater to the needs of the students. The main intention of establishing the lab is to provide practical, hands on experience to the students wherein they can put their theoretical knowledge into practice.

Commerce Lab Activities

The activities may be any of the following

  • Power point Presentation by students regarding the topics in their syllabus

  • Exposure to various forms like forms required for various banking transactions, IT returns forms etc

  • Discussion on various case studies

  • Digital display of latest informations such as currency exchange rates, bullion rates, wholesale price index, bank deposit & loan rates of interest, stock exchange rates and any other current relevant information

Library

The library of C B Bhandari Jain College was established in the year 2000, and is upgraded with the latest library management software, i.e. pupil pod.  The library has all the facilities with required information in the form of books, journals and internet.
The college library is a gateway to a world of information.  The staff and students have unlimited access to a wealth of information resources like books, magazines, journals, encyclopedias and the internet. The library has seating arrangements and calm ambience for learning.

Highlights of the Library

2. Subscription to INFLIBNET’s N-List consortia for user community to access e-resources like e-Journals, e-books.
3. Easy accessible to bound volumes of previous year question papers
4. During exams students will be issued books on deposit scheme.
5. Book bank facility for SC/ST students
6. A good collection of books and resource materials for competitive exams
7. A unique collection of books on great personalities, biographies, Epics etc.

Monday to Friday: 9.00 A.M to 4.00 P.M
Saturday: 9.00 A.M to 12.30 P.M

Library rules & regulations:-
1. Students are requested to maintain silence, discipline and stand in queues at circulation counter
2. Carry ID cards at all times and produce them on demand
3. Look at the library notice board regularly.
4. Leave bags, handbags and personal belongings at the bag racks
5. Sign the register kept at the check point, while entering the library
6. Books lost by the borrowers have to be reported immediately in writing, to the librarian, failing which, fines will accumulate.
7. Lost books should be replaced within the time permitted.
8. Loss of borrower’s cards has to be reported immediately in writing.
9. Each borrower is responsible for the book issued on the card, so borrower is requested not to lend library cards to others, and to collect their cards without fail after returning the books from the circulation counter.
10. No due certificate will be issued at the end of even semester, on return of the library borrower’s card.
11. Books should be handled with great care and mutilation of books in any manner will be heavily fined.
12. Keep the library clean.
13. Use the dustbins provided in the library.
14. Usage of mobile phones in the library premises is prohibited.

Information and Communications Technologies (ICT)

Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) supports CBBJC to reach strategic goals in both education and research and to enhance the student experience. Teachers integrate ICT into learning, and reporting in ways that transform learning into more interactive and engaging environments for students. The launch of EDUSAT has helped in providing quality instruction through video programs to students. The students have benefited from the video programs delivered through the Satellite. The benefit gained is in terms of gain in knowledge and understanding of the content, improvement in attendance and holding attention and interest in viewing programs. The teacher involvement during the broadcast as facilitator and conduct of Pre and Post broadcast activity is noteworthy. Reliable ICT infrastructure and technical support provides highly accessible and efficient use of ICT for learning, teaching and administration. The college uses ICT for the efficient and effective delivery of all business processes.

Infrastructure Facilities

Auditorium

The college boasts of a huge auditorium measuring about 6,004 Sft which was established in 2011 and has a capacity to accommodate 700 people. It is equipped with good audio- visual equipment and a huge stage. All cultural activities are conducted in the auditorium very successfully. Each year the auditorium is used by all UG & PG students for at least 3 times a week for various events and activities. The availability of the huge auditorium has helped the students to plan & conduct various cultural events all through the year and encouraged them to showcase their talents in different areas like singing, dancing, compering, fashion shows, etc. Yoga is also conducted in the auditorium as per the curriculum set by the university.

Gymnasium

Sports facilities

The institution provides excellent infrastructure for indoor games by setting aside a huge quadrangle measuring 3,551 Sft for conducting Chess, Carrom, Table tennis, etc. For outdoor games the Bangalore City Corporation grounds situated near the college premises is used. Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball and other sports are played by the students on a daily basis. The college boasts of a well-equipped gymnasium located on the 5th floor of the building. Students are encouraged to use it often in order to keep themselves physically fit. The size of the gymnasium is 400 Sft and it was established in 2011. Generally about 40% of students use the gym on a daily basis.
